Wave Nats Report – Congrats to Tom MacGregor and Keahi de Aboitiz

– BWS Grom team rider Tom MacGregor won the Australian junior title held in Warrnambool, Victoria, this past week.It wrapped up a great week for Tommy after also taking 2nd place in a surf contest on the Sunshine Coast.

“We are really stoked to support kids like Tom, he surf’s as good as he kites and will really help to push our vision of bridging the gap between surfing and kiting into the future”, says Ben Wilson.

Tom MacGregor:“That was my first trip away to a big contest down south. I didn’t really know what to expect, because it was my first big comp and I didn’t really know the other kiters out there. I was going to go out there and just try my best and it worked out pretty well”. He stopped competing in surfing this year.

“I just try to kite how I surf. I figured I wanted to get better in kiting, so I’m training harder towards kite surfing.”

– Keahi de Aboitiz, 2010 PKRA Wave world champion, took the first place of the Open Men Category thanks to his incredible technical skills in the wave.
