Womens Wave Camp 2017 – Cynbad Brown

“Just back from two amazing weeks of Kite Surf coaching, South of the Border. The camps were hosted by Exotikite Kiteboarding, of Los Barriles, and fellow Ozone team flyer Laurel Eastman, of the Women’s Kiteboarding Collective.

I had the honor of sharing my years of strapless kite surfing knowledge with 14 eager women, who traveled from various corners of the globe. The location was a remote fishing village, half way down the Baja peninsula, on the Pacific Coast, boasting side shore winds and forgiving swells that peel forever.

The women were treated to: yoga before breakfast, surfing in the mornings, classroom style clinics before kiting, one on one radio coaching on the water, and drone footage video reviews in the evenings. All this paired with fresh fish ceviches, margaritas, good camaraderie, and the wildness that only Baja can offer guaranteed smiles all around.
